Point about safety taken, however wouldn't it be possible to design the airbags not to write off the car? This does seem to be a major problem on cars which have lower initial value - after two or three years, airbag deployment does "write off" the vehicle. (Also, seatbelt pretensioners are an expensive item too!)
There are so many airbags in a Laguna, that you're more likely to die of suffocation than from the accident! If that doesn't get you, the shock of a quote for around £3000 to replace them (before you replace the dashboard, seats etc.) will finish you off!
