Either hole individually is definitely single-DIN sized - I tried my stereo in the lower one to see how it looked. However, there's a dividing section between the two 'halves' which would probably obstruct matters somewhat, it's pretty thin but I'm not sure that if you took it out, you'd end up with a completely douple-DIN sized hole and may need some kind of spacer to fill in the gap occupied by the divider.

Perhaps somebody else here has actually done it and can speak from experience though.
