Lock the car with the lock button. That should disable handsfree locking until the next time you start the engine (you'll have to unlock manually with the button too.)
Though if the system is working correctly, it should lock when you walk away from the car but only unlock when the card returns to the car AND something breaks the light beam behind one of the door handles (or someone presses the boot button.) If the car is unlocking just because the card is too close, then something's wrong. My first guess would be dirt on one of the door handle sensors or on the little mirror that's on the back of the door handle.
Seemingly spontaneous locking and unlocking is most likely down to something else in your pocket pressing on the keycard buttons.
Only a dealer can disable the system entirely. You'd probably have to pay, and then pay again if you ever wanted it re-enabled.
