Hello. A kindly tipper truck recently broke the nearside wing mirror of my Scenic 2 for me. Having sourced a replacement for £70 from 4ringsspares via
(just over half what Renault quoted) I'm now trying to remove the old one and fit the new one. I've undone the torx screw on the door pillar, and had a go at prising the mirror off: I've got so far with this, but it seems unwilling to come off completely. I can't see any other fixing holes on the new unit, so I assume it's just a tight push-fit, but I don't want to keep prising it if I'm risking knackering whatever the mirror is mounted to or the electrical connections.
Can anyone help, or is it best spending £30 at my local independent specialist and getting them to do it? Even if I do I'll still have only paid half what Renault wanted for the job...
