Hello. I have 6x9s in my stock parcel shelf in my clio. I was wondering if it is ok to put a sub in the boot with the 6x9s still in the parcel shelf? I remember being told that you cant because of the sub destroying the 6x9s.
I agree with both Dave & Martin...... what a load of rubbish!!!
I've had 6x9's in my shelf and a sub in the boot on pretty much every car I've owned, without any probs.
I've currently got 6x9's mounted in an MDF shelf in my Lagy (not sealed) with a 1000 watt sub in the boot which produces one hell of a kick. Shelf speakers are fine and will continue to be fine until I blow them by turning the volume up too much!
Last set of 6x9's I had lasted a good 6 -7 years untill I upgraded and then they still sound fine in my lil bro's car!
