I'm curious. Does this also apply to a display that keeps alternating between two different messages and colours?

This is the case with the dash on the Laguna when you have cruise or the limiter enabled, and the car wishes to impart some other information to you (low fuel being the most common.) I find it incredibly distracting, to the point where I had to reset the service indicator myself when the 9000 mile oil change was due because I couldn't have driven all the way back from Brighton with that display alternating between the white 'cruise' message and the red 'change oil ' one.

I suppose I could have driven back without cruise control, but that kind of defeats the object of having it in the first place.
