Wonky Electric windows

Having just picked up my new Laguna (see thread in My Mottah!), I've found that the electric windows are a bit 'wonky' If I press the button on the drivers door to wind them up or down, they only move and inch or so, then stop. If I use the button for the window (i.e. passenger door button), it works fine. Is this a problem with the driver's door buttons, or something else?
