My Clio is due for it's MOT in June and I want to get the ball rolling now unlike my sister who left it to the day before, still hasn't got it back (2 weeks) and it's cost her £600 already.
According to the Service booklet, the last service was done when the Garage I bought it from in June 07 acquired it - 12,911 miles. She's now done 15,078. Whilst the booklet was stamped, they did not tick what work was done and so I don't know what to have done? I don't know when/if the cambelt was done either. So...
1) Can a mechanic find out when the belt was done by looking at the belt itself?
2) Is it worth gettiong the whole lot done (Plugs,
, Filters etc)? The only other service stamp before the garage's was a Renault done crica 10k and that ticked Plugs,
and something else listed (booklet is in car, memory is frazzled from College work).
Being a first time car owner I need some much-valued guidance!
