I'd have the MOT done first though, and then have the belt done. You can have the MOT done one calendar month before it expires, so if it runs out on the 23rd of June you can have it MOT'd on the 24th of May and if it passes you get 13 months MOT.
Thanks for the reply lags
The MOT runs out on the 12th June.
Is there any particular reason for having the belt changed after the MOT? I had planned to have it Serviced in preparation for the MOT, then MOT'd on top. The reason for this is that my Mum has done it with her cars in the past so that any issues that may fail it on the MOT might be found in advance and fixed to save having to re-take it's MOT. She hasn't had a fail yet...touch wood
Also, what sort of price should I be looking at for a Service and MOT? A ball-park figure would help me to walk away if a price is too high
