It's the way things are done if at all possible in any garage,and it really does make sense.

As you rightly say,the belt is 72k OR 5 years.....and yours is way over this.You could run it on a bit longer,but you'd be playing an expensive game.The cambelt is due on my Lag soon,and I dread turning the key each time I start it.........the sound of valves hitting pistons isn't pretty.

Good luck with the MOT/Service/Cambelt and let us know how you get on.
