There is also the possibility of stripping the worm if overtightened and the fitter may fail to notice as it is hidden from view
I use the industrial stainless ones my Dad uses on food machinery, which is often sited in a very unforgiving environment - they're fairly expensive, but well worth it since they haven't rusted away when you need to undo them.

They're also so sturdy I can't imagine the threads stripping, even with repeated use.

I hadn't thought of the unequal pressure issue, although I've never had anything I've done a jubilee clip up on leak, so I'm not too worried about it.
