failure was the cause of the fire ( or smoke ) please read this thread

No offence intended but I am shocked to hear you continued to drive despite the warnings from the car.
I realise ( and also read ) that electical faults can sometimes spring up errors which may cure themselves after further driving BUT if anyone else reads this PLEASE learn from this poor members experiences & stop and ( if you feel safe enough to do ) lift the bonnet to look for obvious errors or alternatively call for breakdown assistance without delay.
