My Megane only cost me £1100, however, it is well worth it for the amount of miles I do.
There's that too - I don't do a vast amount of mileage so it's unlikely that the conversion would pay for itself even at £1100. So it goes - economics can be a harsh mistress
OTOH, if I *had* to drive any significant distance to work then it would be a serious consideration, even on a 10-11 year old car.
However, when the time comes to get another car I'll be looking at what 'dual fuel' options are available, if any. But since I plan to have my current car for at least another 12-18 months, all being well, it's not a consideration right now unless I win the lottery ...
