Servicing your Renault at main Dealership? What the Hey???
I just booked my Lag 2 V6 for its 4-yr service at a Renault dealer. I'm wondering if I've done the right thing.
A couple of weeks ago, I was there and the set price for this "36000 mile service" was £320
. Today, it was £413
so I queried it and the very nice young lady must have sensed an edge on my voice because she said, "Why don't you tell me your car's VRM and I'll check what it needs?" She then spent an age (it seemed) on the computer and came back with a £268 quotation inclusive of labour, materials and VAT. I also asked for an MOT (extra £45).
Considering the car has done 21600 miles, is this value for money? The "B" service includes a DOT4 fluid change but some recommended things like air and pollen filters will probably not be done because they are mileage dependent.
Does anyone have any opinion on these doubts of mine?
