It is a very lazy way to engineer a car for a different market. I would argue that its a safety issue (can you imagine if the headlights were LHD and just masked over with beam benders?), as not only are you invariably left with some water in your field of vision from the passenger-side wiper, the arc of the wipers mean that you have a large area in the top corner (just in front of your face), which remains unswept.
Not good enough.
i dont understand why most economy car manufactures (sp?) dont do the pug 307 style wipers, where both sides wipe from the centre to the edge
