The UK version, has the style of wipers similar to the Clio II, Peugeot 206 and some BMWs.
The difference being that the drivers side doesn't pivot at one point, but moves about. This is so it can sweep a wider arc presumably.
I think they're clever, but the standard euro ones do look much tidier.
Indeed. It's very simply that the UK Twingo has LHD wipers, but the right wiper is cranked so that it sweeps as far into the corner of the screen as possible.
My Clio has the same arrangement. One would think that it would be dangerous, but it isn't really - certainly no more so than having very thick A-pillars.
