Have you still got the original radio in it or is it an aftermarket one?.If it's aftermarket,then the lead could be from the remote control stalk that the original would have used.
If everything appears to be working,then it could just be a lead that is not used for your car.When the cars are built from new the same wiring loom is used in all of them.Some cars don't need all of the wires in the loom(e.g if it's not fitted with aircon or electric mirrors etc) so there are spare leads and connectors hidden everywhere.It may have just worked loose from behind the dash board and wants tieing up out of the way with a cable tie.
