So I am staggered to find that I now have to pay £1000 I dont have to change a cambelt. I would expect a car bought at full retail serviced by the garage who sold it, should have changed the belt as it was due.
Hiya and welcome. That is a joke. A cambelt kit changed costs around £150-400 depending on where you go roughly.
How long have you had the car? Was the car serviced just before you bought it? If it was then go back to them and state that you do not believe it was sold as it should be under the sales of goods act. You believe the car to have quite a few faults that shoul;d have been mentioned by the garage if not repaired.
No company is allowed to sell you faulty goods. They should take it back and repair it if it can be proved that it hasn't happened since the day you drove it away.
