Renault 19 bonnet wanted/ bonnet dilemma

Renault 19 1.4 RT (1390cc) 1994 M-reg 160K

After nearly 100k miles of motorway driving (160K total) and countless stone chips hitting my bonnet in the process, rust has taken over it there is now a gaping big hole where the front of my bonnet used be, just last week I had to physically break a part of it off as it was it would flap up horizontally at even a slow speed! It did not look good….

Whilst the car is worth very little/nothing, it is still generally very reliable and it would be a shame to get rid of it purely because of the bonnet. My dilemma is I dont know if its worth the expense?

What I want to know is this:
*How easy/cheap is to get hold of one, and how much should it typically cost to rub down a respray one that is in another colour?
*Where is the best place to source one from? What sort of prices?
*Are they easy to fit?

My R19 is in British racing green. If anyone has one in that particular colour I will travel!

One issue I have is that bot my MOT & insurance are due for renewal this weekend!

I am considering an upgrade anyhow, i am very keen on megane coupes (98-2002) in either 1.4 or 1.6 (but pref. the 1.4 16v). Are there any issues/recommendations here.

So basically I need some advice: should I go for a new bonnet or new car?
