For the poll I voted European. I know Jap cars are reliable etc etc but too bland, and not quite as well screwed together as you might think. Tthough Honda seem to be being more adventurous recently with their styling (though I dislike the new Civic a lot!). My Mums second car is a well used 1995 M Reg Toyota Carina E which has Starship Enterprise mileage but still drives like new. Reliable they certainly are, it's had a clutch and a radiator and thats about it.
As for my own "best car"... No surprises really it was my beloved 1983 Mk1 Astra 1.6 estate. God I miss that car so much, rust killed her in the end though mechanically she was bomb proof.
