Cap shows the following value:

Renault Scenic Estate 1.6 16v Dynamique+ 5dr
Ins Group: 8
Valuation for a 52 plate with 5k miles:
Retail: 4250
Clean: 3175
Average: 2975
Below: 2750

I would say that the private selling price is "normally" between the CAP Clean and Retail price therefore around 3700.
What I would do though is look around the marketplace (Autotrader, local papers etc) to see what everyone else is selling the same model for as Scenic's have been selling for below book/trade ("clean" price shown above) for some time. At Auction I have personally seen some models go for 1k less than CAP Clean.
It's very much a buyers market just now and the trend seems to be that the more agressively priced you advertise your car for the easier it will be to sell.
Hope you get some success with the sale.

Specifics regarding the categories above are as follows:
A realistic retail price based on national research.
Includes a sensible profit margin.

Ready to retail requiring little or no refurbishment.
Mechanically sound.
Current MOT test certificate or requiring little attention in order to obtain one.
Acceptable manufacturers colour and trim combination.
Interior to be clean and well cared for, in original condition and free of damage.
All documentation available and in order including spare keys and security codes.
Full service history.

In reasonable condition given it's age and mileage.
Requires some work other than routine cleaning and servicing to bring it up to retail standard.
Mechanically sound.
Current MOT test certificate or in need of only routine service item replacements in order to obtain one.
Acceptable colour with some repainting required.
Interior largely undamaged and complete but in need of cleaning.
All documentation available and in order.

A vehicle in poor and hard worked condition that would prove to be uneconomical to restore to an acceptable retail standard.
Mechanically poor condition.
Little or no MOT test remaining.
Damaged or corroded bodywork.
Incomplete or damaged interior trim.
