Suggestions from VOSA's Head of Vehicle Safety Branch, Jeff Streeting, that it may require a third warning letter to alert affected car owners were also dismissed.
'Such a question is not relevant when the second mailing is in process,' said the Renault spokesman."
This really made me laugh....
Remember the point that this IS NOT an official recall - it's just a letter of advice by the manufacturer - legal difference, as VOSA has ZERO powers to enforce anything (or better still, don't WANT to enforce anything!)...
Mr Sweeting who heads up the VSB advised that it may require a 3 letter, Renault says nah 2 is enough! Hmmm...so what is VOSA going to do about it, just ask nicely again?
Absolute bonkers.....what is the matter with the attitude of the Government agencies and Global mega-powers these days? They think they can get away with murder...whoops I just remembered that they can (Dr Kelly comes to mind!) - conspiracy theories galore!
