Did the bubbles appear in the paint after warm weather?

Sometimes when a car is sprayed any impurities in the paint work their way to the surface and manifest themselves as small bubbles. It can happen after the surface has been heated up in the sun. This is usually when either the prep work before painting was below par or when rubbish or contaminated paint was used.

I had a similar problem on a mondeo, the spolier came up in paint blisters. I subsequently identified that the spoiler was aftermarket and had been poorly sprayed. The dealer I bought it from didn't want to know. I ended up stripping and painting it again but the finish was never the same.

Best advice would be to take it to a bodyshop and ask them for a report. It may cost you a few quid but it's extra ammunition when you go to complain to the dealer.
