I asked the same Q a while ago and TruckBus came back with quite a lot of info.
Evening Tank and Asterix, the Font or typeface used by Renault is infact called ... EF RENAULT.
La Régie owns the trademark rights to the EF Renault typeface family, it was commissioned from Wolff Olins in the late 1960s and is still used today, in Renault logos, bootlid badges, brochures etc.
It is available to purchase but I think its about £50 a pop ... not sure if thats a commercial use licence or not ... I'd doubt it ... you should be able to get it from any font suppliers, as truetype, postscript etc .... try Font Foundry
Not sure of any font suppliers myself, but when I saw the price I was put off and new my mate (who wanted it for his website) would be too. He since abandoned the site when he totalled his Clio
Hope this helps mate
Upon further inspection I've found that the EF RENAULT font is the font used for the word Renault, not the font for the model names.
