As a Clio owner, I have been following the discussions elsewhere about bonnet catches failing while cars (Clios, but also Lagunas and Scenics) are being driven.
At some point Vosa or Renault or both have mentioned that bonnet catches are checked at MOTs.
Working on the premiss that the bonnets are opening because the main catch fails and the safety catch is jammed open by corrosion, I wonder whether this would/should/could be spotted at an MOT - or is it more complex than that?
