elec handbrake failure

A week after my dash failed, the electronic release for the handbrake has failed.
I've read that there is a sensor, but renault has told me the 'computer' needs changing.

Does anyone know what may be at fault?

Renault customer care do not want to know as the car is 3.5years old.

We also have 2 windows that have failed (1 fixed with a 3.06 plastic part), a broken bonnet switch for the alarm, no power in the centre console, clutch start switch wires sheared off.....
