Sorry Steve - I live in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately some garages claim the rear subframe has to be removed for the job when actually it can be done in situ., using a special puller. Keep phoning around you local independent garages
If the gagrage has the special puller then the bushes can be changed in situ.
Otherwise the axle has to come off. Its not that difficult to remove the axle, biggest hassle is bleeding the brakes afterwards.
There was a discussion a while back about the quality/life of rear bushes. While the genine Renault ones are poor, some of the aftermarket ones seem to be even worse.
I bought some off e-bay - they were completly shot after 3months/8,000 miles.
