I managed to get plenty of clearance by leaving brake lines and h/brake cable connected, and undoing shocker mount and carefully lowering whole axle using a jack under the centre of the beam. Realise that a puller is better but a lump hammer worked fine (patience and perseverance!) to knock the old one out and using a soft steel - large area punch to knock the new one in, moving around the bush circumference.
Worked out what Renault must make in parts on these. Say200,000 Laguna 2's on the road averaging 15k per year each, with an average bush life of 50k miles and av price over the years of £50 per set. Thats £3m sales value for Renault per year. Nice little earner!
