Hi kingarthur

I had a cobra alarm also and had to remove the fuse because when I last disconnected the battery the alarm appeared not to want to reset itself and went off constantly. To my best memory I think it was a 0144 also!

I'd been in touch with Renault and Cobra themselves and tried all manner of their suggestions to reset the damn thing to no avail

I would suggest that one of the previous owners had had the same problem, hence the removed fuse.

I've had a look for the email I received from Cobra to see if it would work for you but it appears I have long since deleted it.

Perhaps an auto electriciam could advise you

2004 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, a 2013 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Sport S-Max and a 2001 Honda NSR125R
