I'm sure there are loads of these that get taken back to the shop when all they need is a reset.

When you switch the GO off, it really just goes into standby mode. If it has crashed, then going in and out of standby isn't going to help much. Stabbing the reset button forces the unit to boot from scratch, and gets around most problems.

I've had to do mine a couple of times - the only real problem is finding a suitable reset tool when it crashes while out and about and you need it desperately to find your way somewhere.
