Well I fill my car up and the gauge reads quite a bit under full - after 100 miles it reads empty. the thrills of ownong a 14 year old Vauxhall!
I have a bloke standing by to repair it for me though for next to nothing thank god - filling the damn car up every month is a very finacially painful experience but I have to otherwise I run the risk of running the tank dry!
Several times (just before setting off on holidays for example) I used to brim the tank on my old Megane til petrol came spurting out and even on that car with a full tank it read just above 3/4. Took ages before it did start to dip below that point though
