A garden hose isn't always necessary to trace a water leak - a watering can be an excellent substitute - always start from the bottom the car and work upwards. As a matter of interest where there any signs of dampness when you got the car or is it something just recent. Sometimes these things are sent to try us but then again there are some members on here would wish a water leak was their only problem and no matter how hard you try you can't polish a turd
