If you haven't sorted your problem here are links to a Seat and VW/Audi site that I joined when my wife had an Alhambra, it may be advice you have already been given, or a quick search could find your answer, best of luck

One suggestion is as follows, I don't think it's been mentioned yet:

Check the plenum chamber drain points. They have silly mesh in them that blocks.
You will have to undo the inner arch trim at the rear to see it. Caution when removing as if it is blocked then you will get a wet sleeve. You can clean it out and replace it if you like, or just leave it out... up to you.

Currently in Emily's dad's garage:
1999 Scenic RXE, now gone as has the Alhambra that replaced it !
