I think France would be your best bet to be honest.The prices of genuine Renault parts is much cheaper than this country,and although you wife doesn't know any motor parts phrases,if she can say 'Hello,I need a part for my car' and then be able to read the part number off of the old unit in French,you should be OK.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
