I had the washer bottle off the car & both pumps out so I could clean out the bottle of all the crud that was going on in there...I didnt find any ball so who knows where its gone.

I plugged the holes left by the pumps & water level sensor with rags & found that hot water (not boiling, just hand hot) mixed with some bleach swished around in the bottle was the best at removing the had all disappeared in a couple of minutes & the bottle was as clean as new....rinse well afterwards though.
