I'd get a new battery.

I'd also be very carefull jump starting or disconnecting/reconnecting the battery on a Lag 2,they are well known for blowing the dash display panel due to voltage spikes when doing this..

If you leave the sidelights on when doing either of the above it should save an expensive repair.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
