Yes it is a shame that Renault chose the ignorance stance against all of its current and prospective customers...I would suggest you do whatever your gut tells you...
Personally, unless Renault does a more thorough recall (nost just a courtesy information notification to Clio owners) and more importantly CHANGE the part that is causing the risk, the incidents will continue to occur.
I feel the current bonnet safety-catch mechanism is unsafe and endangers the occupants lives, I would advise all people to avoid purchasing these models!!
