Not all Dci engines have a primary low pressure pump - at a guess those that don't have will have a priming pump or bulb fitted. If there is no sign of a priming device I would strongly suspect it has an electric primary pump. If you trace back from the fuel line going into fuel filter you should eventually find it. I don't know its location on the Traffic but on the Scenic it is usually located around the front right wing - hope thats a clue.
