I am just interested to know what everyone here is getting out of there 1.9 DCi engines.
I only seem to be getting about 31MPG on average.
I cannot get it to shift above that.
I don***8217;t go over 2k on the revs when driving around town.
The only time it is at constant 2k or over is on the motorway.
It is costing me too much to run the car. At this rate if that is all i am going to get its going to force me to sell up.
I am just wondering if this is correct for the eng / car?
I get around 29-30mpg. With a caravan luggage and passengers. Including car i would say 3000kg.
You sure someone isn't hitching a ride?
After i have towed the caravan i notice that the car does more MPG when unladen.
I put this down to a dirty
and inlet to the manifold. I assume that my everyday steady driving does nothing to free up the
or blow any crap out. The constant need for the
when towing probably does this.
Generally tho the wife gets 42mpg through summer and 38-39 in winter. I would say the winter is due to the choke coming into play.
I once thrashed the ¤¤¤¤ off a Skoda Superb several hundred miles through Ireland and could not get the thing below 47mpg!!!
I wont miss my Ren when its gone!
