Speedo Calibration

Hi All,

We recently bought a 1998 espace 2.2 RXE and after doing a run to the Alps in convoy we bacame aware that the speedo was reading substantially out.

Got back and ran a test with a GPS. I charted the results and it appears that the speedo is out by between 11 and 12%. We are going slower than the speedo says we are.

The vehicle does have non standard tyres and wheels on it but this does not account for the large descrepancy. Depending on the original wheel and tyre size (not sure which from the list of tyres and wheels we originally would have had) the speedo could be either about 2% or about 4% out.

Has anyone had experience of speedo calibration problems on the espace and if so how easy is it to have it re-calibrated?

Any info greatfully accepted as I am a bit tired of my stick on speed conversion table.

Cheers John
