You are wasting your time trying to blow the dirt out of the pollen filter - the microscopic particulate blocks the pores in the filter. It better to fit a new one or take it out altgether. The heater motors are known to overheat and fail without good airflow. It is hardly worth trying to save £10-12 when a motor fault could cost hundreds of pounds to repair.
