A bit of info on "on-line" plate supliers.....
I bought a set recently for my '96 Lag, I told them when ordering that they had to be "street legal".
They then maild me back requesting a copy of my licence and the V5 for the car.
All this was done via email and I got the plates within the week, totally legal, even down to the BSAU145d mark in the bottom right-hand corner.
So, you can get legal plates from the net........
Thats how they get round it.
By law you need to provide the originals in person as anyone can use a photocopier, but I suppose it is for the law to decide if you actually went there in person to provide the required info.
As long as they get their details, they must be happy.
I must admit,I would be slightly wary about sending a copy of my V5 and driving licence details over the net.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
