As I'm finally fitting a towbar to my car at the weekend I ordered a so-called showplate to fit to the trailer which is better than many people who seem to think a piece of cardboard with felt tip letters will do

The last time I checked, trailers don't need an MOT (though going by the state of some trailers/horseboxes/caravans I've seen on the road I think maybe there should be) so I think I should be OK with this plate on the back of it! Cost a fiver, where I'd be spending three times that at a shop getting a "proper" one done. makes sense to me, people will clone cars, it doesn't matter what regs there are to stop people making dodgy number plates and the like. So you may as well save a few quid if you need plates And at least you can get a fancy picture or different text if that floats yer boat
