If its anything like the 97 Lag 1 it fairly easy to get the complete speedo out, I can't remember how I did it now but take a close look around the clock I'm fairly sure on mine it was just four screws. BTW not very easily seen

Another BTW don't buy the replacement bulbs from Renault some years ago each one cost over 2 quid, from a motor factor about 0.20p
