According to my manual it is called the "Heater Blower Motor Resistor" - having said that I have also heard it called "Blower Motor Dropper Resistor"
No guarantee thats what Renault call it though
took the resistor to work.our fitter passed it onto an auto electrician who repaired the saftey fuse wire,he has tested the board and said it is fine.the problem was caused through a dry joint and possible moisture.he has said to replace and try it,if it blows again i will have to take the car in to be inspected.it is situated behind the blower i'll try to get some photo's on sat.
