It has nothing to do with dual mass flywheels,it's whether the subframe has to be removed or not.
I've never done a clutch or gearbox on a Lag 2,but apparently certain models are awkward to do,so 5 hours is pretty reasonable.You can't compare the book time for a Punto with a Lag 2.
As for the Megane 1,you don't need to remove the engine and gearbox,it's just a case of dropping the front subframe down to get the box out.
The Autodata times are not made up by Autodata,they are straight from the manufacturers of the vehicles,all Autodata do is buy the information and then put it all together and sell it on.Some of the times are ridiculous,but mainly because they are far too short!.It's OK if you work on one make of vehicle all the time and know the cheats and tricks of getting the jobs done quickly,but if your expected to work on allsorts of stuff it's far more difficult.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
