You plug the adjuster in(with it out of the headlight),then move the dial on the dash until the adjuster is fully out.You'll need another pair of hands to work the dial as you need to see the adjuster moving.I can't remember which way moves the adjuster fully out,so you'll have to check.

Once it is fully out,you need to clip the ball end of the adjust arm into the socket in the lense.These can be tight,so go carefull.

Just one thing,how did you remove the old adjusters from the old lights,and are they still in one piece?.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
