First of all, glad to hear that you are okay.

I would also be inclined to contact the local Police Road Traffic Unit, as there was 'technically' an accident, and they are obliged to investigate. This will also assist you if they find that the surface is inherently dangerous, to seek recompense from those who have the responsibility to maintain the road.

It will also signify that you are serious, and not to be ignored.

Just a thought.
