My interior lights flicker too when the engine is running. Always have but never had an alternator problem with the car. I just put it down to one of those little quirks with the car.

Toxic light shouldn't be affected by the alternator as Lag said.

Are you sure it's not missfiring? I'd suspect a dodgy coil pack, all too comomn with petrol engined Renaults. Could even be a bit of moisture trapped between the coil and spark plug.

Happened to me, I did the stupid thing of jet washing the engine it drove fine for 3 days then toxic light came on and started missing, gave the plugs and coils a wipe all was fine.

If it's not missing you might have a dodgy sensor somewhere on your hands or even moisture in the ECU multiplug under the battery tray, take that out and make sure it's clean too.
