I think I'm right in saying that the unit they are plugged into is the UCH .

Just check for any water ingress into the box,it may be a problem with the box rather than the wires connectors.The problem may lay with the soldered connections from the plug on to the circuit board rather than with the plug it's self.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
